Project Description
The Lloyd Consulting Alliance team has been commissioned to
assist with the development of waste management strategies for a number of
local governments in response to sustainability, climate change and waste
management issues. Sunshine Coast and Lake Macquarie Regional Councils have been
the most recent to embark on the path to more sustainable and cost effective
waste management assisted by the Alliance.
The following services were provided:

Facilitate and develop the project plan for
development of Municipal Waste Strategy in line with Council's vision of
becoming a leading sustainable region;

Facilitate Community Waste Taskforces and
committees and development of Discussion Papers on the preferred Waste
Reduction Options for community consultation;

Conduct of a range of industry and community
consultation, technical assessments, covering baseline data, triple bottom line
analysis, cost effectiveness comparisons, assets and community attitudes and
involvement; and

Preparation of Waste Strategies for community
and Council consideration.
