Rachel
Eberhard is the Director of Eberhard
Consulting, established in 2005. Rachel works with clients to improve
policy, planning and management processes and outcomes in natural resource
management. Rachel has a particular interest in the use of
rigorous evidence for decision-making, and the social dimensions of negotiating
outcomes to complex issues. She mostly works with
water and landscape programs at large scales (from catchment landscapes to
multi-regional).
Rachel has over 20 years of experience in
environmental and agricultural science, planning and policy. In recent years,
consulting projects have included:
- Governance and technical advice and support for
the Fitzroy Partnership for River Health
- Caring for Our Country review paper – Reef Rescue
as a delivery model
- Evaluation of partnership arrangements and
stakeholder engagement for SEQ Healthy Country, NQ Dry Tropics and Reef
Alliance
- Review of adaptive management strategies in the
draft Murray-Darling Basin Plan
- Research the influence of collaboration on
knowledge used to inform policy
- Establishment and management of the Reef Water
Quality Partnership
Rachel has a degree in Agricultural Science, a
Master of Natural Resources, and is currently undertaking further studies in
Business.
