Central Queensland Industrial Development Site Audit
Project Description
The site under investigation had been used for a demonstration magnesium production facility, the owners of which were looking to remove the site from the Environmental Management Register prior to devolving the site to the Queensland Department of State Development (SD). Preliminary assessments undertaken prior indicated that soil and groundwater quality had been impacted, and a further sampling program was required to establish the extent of any contamination issues at the site.
Services Provided
Lloyd Consulting provided a review of a preliminary contaminated site assessment report as background information, a review of further sampling and assessment programs, a site inspection, an inspection of field work employed as part of a further sampling program, and a review of an Environmental Site Assessment report and associated Remediation Plan to inform reporting to and liaison with EHP (formerly DERM) in accordance with audit requirements.
