QUT – SciTech Centre Audit

Project Description

Queensland University of Technolog undertook the establishment of a new $200+ million Science and Technology Precinct in the heart of the Gardens Point campus, Brisbane.   The Science and Technology precinct aim was to bring together teaching and research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.  Development plans involved the demolition of five buildings and the managing contractor sought to satisfy ‘Green Star’ criteria for the development.

Services Provided

Lloyd Consulting provided audit review advice to EHP (formerly DERM) regarding the disposal permit application and associated environmental site assessment information provided by the environmental consultant.  Audit tasks undertaken by Lloyd Consulting included:

  • liaison with DERM;
  • review of Remediation Plan;
  • inspection and review of site assessment, remediation and validation works and reports; and
  • review of Site Remediation and Validation Report.
